Having finished reading “Paper Towns” by John Green last night, I just realized a really cool element that may be overlooked. The protagonists name is Quentin Jacobsen, an off beat name that people often abbreviate to just Q. The love interest is named Margo Roth Spiegelman, an arguably weirder name than Quentin’s but it is most often said in its entirety. It’s a cool subtle way to show how different they ended up.

Playing MTGO- Holiday Cube

So earlier tonight I decided to cash in my free Cube tickets and see what all the fuss was about. I got myself I to a Swiss queue and it fired in about a minute.

First pick was Force of Will, but that ended up not having any impact because Naya aggro was pretty open and I went into the draft wanting to play that anyway.

Round 1 was against a W/B deck that was pretty slow. Despite that, and thanks to some Mana screw I ended up losing that match.

Round 2 my opponent was a U/G graveyard control deck. The thing where you play Genesis. I ended up being just more so aggro and won that game.

Round 3 was by far the best. My opponent was playing the Winter Orb control deck. So many artifacts, but my aggro was strong enough to take us to a 3rd game. And, thanks to him being a combo deck he ended up timing himself out. Yes, I won via time as the aggro deck. Won the Match.

Final score: 2-1

Star Cards: Bloodstained Mire, Boogart Ram-Gang, Bloodbraid Elf, Student of Warfare, and Knight of Glory.

Honorable mention: Mirari’s Wake. It only resolved once, but that one time pretty much locked that game for me.
